“The best care home I’ve ever known.
My father is so happy there and the staff are amazing
I’d strongly recommend it to anyone, just fantastic”.
What makes Ash Lodge different?
In the ongoing battle against Coronavirus, we have maintained
a number of processes you would expect to see, as well as implementing a number of further
safeguarding measures that go over and above, to ensure
Ash Lodge Care Home with Nursing is one of the safest care homes in the county.
Our protection plan is constantly evolving but includes the following key areas:
Our already-thorough hygiene & cleanliness measures are being constantly reviewed and enhanced by following the up to date government guidelines and purchasing the recommended products. Hand sanitisers have been sited along all corridors and at the entrance to our Home.
All flooring has been replaced with hard flooring to enable deep cleaning, taps are currently being replaced with long lever medical elbow taps.
We have ensured and continue to ensure we have all personal protective equipment for our staff to care for our residents safely, these include face visors, face masks, gloves and aprons. PPE stock levels are checked weekly.
On top of twice daily ‘soft testing’ including thermal temperature and well-being checks, we are testing staff weekly and Residents Monthly for Covid-19.
This rigorous COVID-19 testing process enables us to track and report on data trends with clear guidelines on steps to take should there be any positive results or adverse spikes in the data.
Staff are already in receipt of training in infection control / infectious diseases. As a company we have invested in infection control around COVID-19 donning and doffing of personal protective equipment.
We are following local government guidelines to ensure the safety of not just our Residents, but the local community. Please contact Ash Lodge to enquire about visiting on 0121 558 9808 or visit our website www.ashlodgenursinghome.co.uk – we have safe visiting areas sited around our home to enable visits to take place.
Regular Contact with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), ensuring we are adhering to the Care Quality Commissions Emergency Support Framework.
We are a unique home offering 70 well equipped bedrooms, 4 lounge/diners all leading from one corridor on the ground floor and one corridor on the first floor. We are currently investing in an COVID safe area for deliveries, this will mean any deliveries to our home will remain in the COVID transit area for 3 days before entering our home.
We have continued with social activities, baking, gardening, painting, drawing, reminiscing, hand and foot massage, visiting our pub which has been especially built in the garden called the “Lockdown Inn”. This has proven to be very popular. Social distancing is paramount during any of our activity programmes.
